You had to force yourself to look away from the nude V’ehxness while she bathed, slept on the same bed with her after a few sleepless nights (well, she let you to, out of respect or pity of seeing a weakling (to her) without sleep perhaps irked her a little), and even made you took a few slashes to non-vital areas whenever she was irritated.

This was the Supreme Commander. And by an attempt of an assassination with your Class Weapon, all that did was give V’ehxness a reason to show you what Commander’s were capable. And that showed with your allies being massacred, one by one, without any signs of pain on their faces.

With you traumatized, V’ehxness watched you with an evil smile, and pointed to the corpses of your friends, and even a few commanders who were caught. “Absorb their power. Take it as your own, and face me outside.” With an inquiry, V’ehxness looked at you with an even wider smile- now a grin. “Well, there’s no point to fighting me with the power and strength you have now, you’ll end up as another corpse.”

“You want to live? Absorb their cryptoglobin, I guarantee the fight will be more manageable. A fair battle: 1 against 1.”

Was this her sign of respect? Did she spare you just now because you withstood the events of everyone’s kidnapping?

“And hurry along. Don’t make me wait too much, or you’ll join them anyway.”

And thus, she left towards outside, and you, with corpses to absorb. You and her will fight eventually.
