The boat gently rocked as you and Neela set out across the calm, sparkling waters. The sun hung high in the sky, casting a warm glow over the ocean, and a cool breeze rustled through your hair as you stood at the bow of the boat, taking in the stunning view. Neela was beside you, sunglasses perched on her nose, her laughter blending with the soft sounds of the waves.
“This is so perfect,” she said, her voice full of excitement. “I’ve always wanted to do a boat trip like this, just out on the open water with nothing to worry about.”
You grinned, feeling the same sense of freedom. “Couldn’t agree more. It’s like everything else melts away when you’re out here.”
Neela grabbed a fishing rod from the side of the boat and playfully handed it to you. “Alright, Jake, time to catch the big one!”
You raised an eyebrow. “You really think I’m going to catch something?”
“Of course!” she said, laughing. “You never know, this might be your hidden talent.”
You both spent the next couple of hours joking, trying your hand at fishing (with little success), and just soaking in the beautiful surroundings. Every now and then, Neela would stop to take photos of the horizon or the occasional pod of dolphins passing by, her excitement never fading.
As the sun began to dip lower in the sky, casting hues of pink and orange across the water, Neela pulled out a cooler from below deck. “I brought snacks,” she said with a mischievous grin.
You smiled, settling down on the deck as she handed you a sandwich. “You’re the best, Neela.”
Neela smiles and says “I know”
