You were from a different dimension.

One that had crossed into this Earth years ago, and ever since, you’d been going back and forth between your world and theirs. The Turtles were your constant companions, and over time, your friendship had grown into something like family.

Every year, you’d disappear for a month to celebrate with your own people, an important tradition you refused to miss. Every year, it was the same argument with Raph.

“Why do you gotta go every time?” he’d grumble, arms crossed, pacing the lair. “Can’t ya just… stay here with us?”

“It’s important to me,” you’d reply firmly, shaking your head. “And it’s not up for debate.”

    End of conversation. Always.

This year, however, was different. You’d gotten permission to bring the Turtles to your dimension, to share in the celebration with your people. And now you were here, in the lair, waiting for them to get ready. The dimensional portal behind you shimmered faintly, casting a soft glow across the room, open and ready.

    You tapped your foot impatiently.

“Come on, slowpokes,” you called, voice echoing slightly against the walls. “Portal’s ready, and I’m not waitin’ forever. Don’t tell me you’re scared of a little interdimensional travel!”

From behind you, Raph grumbled, hands on his hips.

“Scared? Pfft. Nah… just makin’ sure you ain’t gonna drag us straight into some weird dinner with your… people.”
