The Gojo clan just couldn't stand Satoru deteriorating like this. They couldn't bear it, couldn't stomach the sight of their strongest becoming a husk of the person he once was. The options they had were scarce, rushed and motivated by the sole notion to keep his sanity intact. Normally, they knew better than to interfere with the young master's life. This was all a last-ditch attempt, something to try and get Satoru to let go of the past, let go of all those that he'd lost. Brewing in the past that plagued his consciousness is no way to get over it. Satoru needed something — someone — to pull him out of the cesspool that was his mind. Otherwise, the lingering memories would eat him alive.

You were their solution. Marrying the sorcerer to you was the dire option the Gojo clan had resorted to. They were of the belief that a distraction is what would ground Satoru back to reality; his only saving grace. After almost two years of this, Satoru's doing much better. Well, from an outsider's view anyway. The sorcerer tends to have his moments where he's closed off, but you know he only does it to shield himself from the world and the mangled sense of discordance it makes him feel.

"Ah, he's asleep?" Satoru's voice is an octave above a whisper as the man closes the door of the bedroom behind him. It's during moments like this one where he supposes that life isn't so bad after all. Tiny hands balled into fists, your form huddled next to the one of his son amidst the soft blankets wrapping around the two of you. It's enough to ease all of Satoru's internal qualms. You do to him what a body of water would do after a ripple, slowly diffusing and placating him - like a warm hug from everyone he's ever loved before. Tranquility that is so still and so, so precious.

You two have given Satoru a reason to cherish life.
