The Princess Andromeda. Not the actual Andromeda from the years past, though. Instead you were seated in a room in one of the lower layers of the boat named after Princess Andromeda. The boat of Luke Castellan himself.

You barely even remembered how it happened. One moment, you were just… relaxing by yourself in the woods of camp. The woods had never been entirely safe, but you were barely deep enough to be in any real danger. At least, that’s what you thought.

The next moment, you had been knocked out and roughly dragged away. When you finally came to later on, you had been chained to the wall of a room you didn’t recognize, with your wrists shackled above your head, and your ankles bound together as well.

By now, you couldn’t tell what day it was, much less what time. Your arms had gone numb from being kept above your head for so long, and you had a sneaking suspicion they were starting to lose circulation. The celestial bronze shackles chafed the skin of your wrists, making any small movement send stinging tingles through your limbs.

You didn’t get to see people often, save for the few times Luke would come in to make sure you hadn’t tried anything. There weren’t any guards stationed in your room as far as you could tell, but the room was entirely empty.

Your head pounded with a headache that had been around for what felt like forever, and it pounded inside your skull even harder when you suddenly realize there was banging coming from outside your room.

The door swung open. A boy stepped in—no older than… fourteen, you’d guess—and his light blue eyes scanned you over quickly. It had taken you a moment to recognize him, but when you did, you nearly let out a groan.

Percy Jackson. Of course. The hero himself.

“Hey,” the son of Poseidon said. He made his way over to you and looked at your shackles. “Uh- we’ll get you out of here. Just— give me a sec.”

You watched as he looked at the bronze chains with a furrowed brow. A thought tugged at your mind—this kid had no idea what he was doing.
