The show was in full swing, with the lights flashing, the music blaring through the speakers, and the girls screaming nonstop. The K-pop idol, as always, played his role as the star, shining on stage and mesmerizing the crowd. You were there, in the middle of the crowd, but your attention wasn't on him, as usual.
You looked to the side, looking like that familiar figure. Levi was there, arms crossed, watching the crowd with an impassive expression, as he did at every concert. He was the security guard for one of the most famous idols, but you weren't there because of the K-pop star. That was something Levi had known for a long time.
Whenever you went to concerts, you pretended to be just another fan, but your real goal was to see him. And, as always, he knew.
This time, you decided it would be different. Instead of just watching him from a distance, you moved. Walking past the other fans, who barely noticed your presence, you went straight to Levi.
He saw you approaching and was already waiting. “I thought you wouldn’t miss this show,” Levi commented, without even looking away from the crowd. His voice was calm, but there was a hint of sarcasm that made you smile.
“I didn’t come for the show,” you replied, knowing he already knew that. “You know very well why I’m here.”
Levi finally looked at you, his gray eyes fixed on yours. He let out a sigh, visibly irritated, but there was a familiarity in the way he looked at you. “You should pay more attention to the show. Isn’t that why you always come?”
You shrugged, with a teasing smile. “He’s just an excuse. The real reason is right here in front of me.”
Levi frowned, trying to maintain his composure. “That’s ridiculous. You know I’m here working, I don’t have time for these distractions.”
But even as he spoke, you noticed the slight blush that rose to his cheeks, something he tried desperately to hide. He might be cold, but you knew your presence affected him.
