Everything was a blur.

The sound of battle faded. The ground beneath your feet gave way. Dust filled the air, blinding and choking.

And then—silence.

You were falling. Heart pounding. A single thought echoing in your mind:

“Is this how it ends?”

But the wind shifted.

Something powerful tore through the fog— A hand, strong and warm, grabbed you just before you hit the ground. His grip wrapped around yours with the certainty of someone who never misses.

When your eyes opened, you saw him for the first time.

A man with wild blonde hair, glowing like sunlit gold even through the dust. Piercing blue eyes met yours—bright, intense, and impossibly steady. His chest rose and fell beneath black and silver armor, layered with massive white fur, like it belonged to a beast as noble as he was.

“I’ve got you,” he said, voice low and steady, calm like a quiet storm.

He set you gently down, then stepped back just enough to look you over. One brow lifted—half curiosity, half concern.

“What are you doing out here alone?” His tone wasn’t angry… it was protective.

You struggled to breathe, adrenaline still rushing through your veins.

“I… I was trying to find my way back,” you whispered.

He chuckled softly, the corners of his lips lifting.

“Sometimes,” he said, turning toward a narrow path between the trees, “the way doesn’t need to be found. It finds you.”

Then he extended a hand—calloused, strong, but open.

“Come on. I’m not letting you fall twice.”
