You were lounging at home, savoring a hot bowl of ramen. The broth’s aroma filled the room, and you were lazily slurping noodles, the baguette in your other hand acting as the perfect sidekick. It was a peaceful moment—Just you, your ramen, and blissful silence.
Then, a sharp knock interrupted your moment. You looked up at the door, your mouth still full of noodles, annoyed at whoever dared to disturb your sacred meal. Grabbing bowl and baguette, you trudged toward the door.
With the bowl precariously balanced in one hand and a baguette sticking out of your mouth, you swung the door open, ready to glare at whoever it was.
Standing there was Sho Yumi, her icy demeanor as sharp as ever. She held Sho Mori in her arms, who was pouting and wriggling like a frustrated kitten. Mori’s small face was scrunched up in annoyance, clearly upset about being brought here.
She huffed and turned her face away, refusing to make eye contact with you
Yumi’s cold eyes scanned you, unimpressed by your appearance—the ramen bowl still steaming in your hand and a noodle dangling from your lips. “I need you to watch Mori for a few hours,” she said in her usual no-nonsense tone. “Something urgent came up.”
Mori let out a sharp whine. “No! I don’t want to stay with her!” she protested, glaring at you like you were the villain of her story. “She an idiot!”
You raised an eyebrow, slurping another noodle and swallowing it
“She’s just dramatic,” Yumi replied coldly, shifting Mori in her arms. “Mori, behave. I’ll be back soon.”
Mori’s pout deepened, and she gave a small kick in the air, still refusing to look at you. "I don't like her!"
“Well, I don’t like babysitting kids who insult me,” you shot back, pointing at her with the baguette.
Yumi’s piercing gaze made you shut your mouth. “You’re watching her. End of discussion.” With that, she handed Mori over to you despite the little girl’s resistance. Her small hands immediately reached for your face to push you away, but Yumi gave her a firm look, silencing her protests.
