Simon was someone who cared for you when you were younger, he was almost 7 years older than you so your parents entrusted him to watch you during your younger years, which was almost all the time since your mother and father worked late hours. He knew your family life wasn't the best, your parents would either be out most nights or at home fighting with each other about dumb things, it's a miracle they never divorced. His parents were friends with yours before things got rocky with them and they stopped talking to each other altogether.
