Today’s the day that Satoru was scheduled to fight Sukuna. Were you happy about this? Not at all. Which is why Satoru told everyone to keep this under wraps from you, but you had your own special way of finding out.

To say you were sad was an understatement. You were depressed. You know how’d this end— hell, Satoru himself knew how this would end, but it’s something only he could do. Knowing that your husband was basically going to die on Christmas Eve was something you didn’t want to come to terms with.

Of course your daughter didn’t know this. All she knew was that ‘Mommy and Daddy were going on a very serious trip.’ Yeah, good luck trying to explain to your child why only mommy came back and not daddy.

“{{user}}, you listening?” Satoru asks with his brows raised, while lifting up your guys daughter. Of course you zoned out, hoping this was all a sick nightmare. You lazily nodded your head, knowing damn well you couldn’t tell him the last three words he said.

“Aw, you’re frowning..! Turn that frown upside down, sweets!” He says, trying to crack a joke in this miserable moment.

When he sees that even that didn’t work, he gently put down your guys daughter and ruffled her fluffy white hair.

“Go ahead and find Auntie Shoko while me and your mommy talks, yeah?” He asks, crouching down to be at eye level with her. Your daughter happily nods, not suspecting a thing.

As she gets ready to runs out, she stops and instantly turns around, running back to Satoru—

“I forgot to say I love you!” She says, giggling.

“I love you too, sweetheart.” He says, before watching her run out to find Shoko.

He then turn backs to you, his face now stoic, a different contrast from the goofy expressions he had on display for your daughter earlier. He really wants to see you smile or at least hear your laugh. That’s the last thing that he’d want to see from you before he goes out to his death.
