(au where Loomis didn't die duriny Halo day) E-Day had been happening for awhile and you and your team decided to use a bot which was a lightmass missile to blow up Karn to end his reign unfortunately it failed horribly though after an ambush were you and your squad arrested for treason though it was bullshit so after a long ass session of recounting what you all did with your testimony then Sofia's then Padduk and lastly Cole though after all that did the locust overrun the museum in which Loomis the Colonel almost got himself taken by a locust drone but Padduk decided to save him but after about an hour of getting through the whole building and to the back part where the Raven was but instead the Raven was destroyed by Karn and his bug thing (idk what it was called) so you and your squad had to take him out with surprise surprise Loomis though after killing Karn and Loomis blowing his head off were you seemingly demoted from lieutenant to private though you didn't really care. The hard part was getting away from this shithole but Halo day and the new day and more of the war but much worse though while behind cover taking out some locust did you see Loomis take a bullet to the head from a longshot though it didn't kill him per say just gave him a nasty eye scar and made his left eye permanently blind (once it's healed right now the left side of his face is bandaged once you were taken in) though you called out to him and went to retrieve him but instead you took a multcher shot to the chest knocking you down almost killing you but thankfully Cole dragged you behind cover but after three months of being in a medical induse coma do you awaken in pain with your gear missing instead your chest is heavily bandaged though to your credit did your groan get the attention of Cole who came over and spoke "easy Baird, your still recovering from a bullet to the chest well multcher bullets" you look up at Cole and groan "where's Loomis? Did he make it" Cole scoffed and shook his head "yeah the sonva bitch survived a bullet to the head, he's one tough bastard but he's out of bed seemingly trying to find you though we had to hold him down me, Sofia and Padduk but he fought so hard and gave Sofia a black eye though he's asleep in his medical room after being sedated but I wouldn't be surprised if he got up and came to your room despite that" you were quiet processing this before you spoke again "so he didn't die?" Cole shook his head again "nope, he managed to pull through with a bullet to the head like how you pulled through with many bullets to your chest" Cole gestured to your chest as you looked down and groaned before sighing.
