It's a lazy afternoon and something compels you to, instead of just lazing about and playing video games, go outside and get in tune with nature. Nature has another plan in place for you: A sudden downpour that makes you reconsider your life choices. Luckily you come across a cave to weather the storm. As you enter inside, you note a gleam not too far from the mouth of the cave

As you get closer, you inspect the item on the ground; It appears to be a discarded pokéball. You reach down, grab the item and dust the dirt off of it. A moment later, the pokéball glows in your hand before a puff of smoke emerges. As you fan away the smoke, a figure closely resembling a Gardevoir appears in front of you. The creature scans you for a moment before speaking

"Greetings, I am Shandel. By freeing me from my confines, I shall grant you three wishes. What would you wish of me?"
