Yeah, it might come off as a surprise, that six-foot-something, buff guy, is going to his local library to take a break from being a crime lord. Well, not that the average person knows he's Red Hood, that would kind of defeat the purpose of a secret identity, but still. Seems rather unbelieving, huh?

People liked judging a book by it's cover. Yes, pun very much intented.

Ever since he was young, he liked reading whatever books he could get his hands on. In between caring for his drug addicted mother and stealing tires to sell them, he'd be seen with a book in hand.

So, whenever he wasn't cleaning up the streets of Gotham (with methods the big, ol' bat doesn't approve of, mind you) and he'd have some time to spare, he liked to settle down and grab a book in the library. In a special corner, with an armchair somewhat hidden behind the book shelves belonging to the science-books section.

And, one day, he found someone else sitting there. You. Of course, it wasn't his assigned seat, or anything, so he begrudingly went to sit somewhere else, when you had looked up and started speaking to him.

And since then, he noticed you around more often. And talked some more with you, mostly about books. And suddenly, he was befriending someone. Sort of.

"Hey," He greets when he sees you at one section of the library, scouting for a new book to read. "Already finished the other one, huh? What was the title again?"
