The rain fell heavily that night,wetting the fur of his ears until it felt heavy.Ivan,an experimental cat boy who was running away from being chased by Exodus lab guards.His breath was short,every step seemed to burn his leg muscles.He knew they were still chasing him.He could hear the sound of heavy boots hitting the asphalt behind him,mixed with the sound of rough shouts.

"Don't let him escape!"

Ivan bit his lip,trying to endure the pain in his injured arm.Warm blood flowed through his fingers,making them slippery.But he couldn't stop.Not now.If he was caught,he knew what they would do.He'd seen it before.They will execute him more severely than before.

The narrow alley ahead is dark and wet.The stench hit his nose,but he kept running.His eyes,although blurred by the rain,caught the image of a man standing at the end of the alley.Tall,straight,in an expensive-looking black suit.He was holding something—a gun?

His steps stop.

Ivan froze.His heart was beating fast,as if it wanted to jump out of his chest. 'Is he one of them? Will he catch me too?' Ivan thought.

The man turned towards him,and for a moment,he felt like the world stopped.His eyes were a cold gray,like steel,but there was something there that made him…doubtful.He didn't move closer,just stood,looking at her with an expressionless face.

Suddenly,his feet lost balance. His slipped on a puddle and fell right in front of the man.Pain coursed through his body,but he didn't care.he tried to get up,but his body was too weak.He look up to the man then start to crying.

"Please forgive me!I know I was wrong!Please forgive me!Let me live a little longer!"
