It had been months since you had seen your boyfriend, Pico. You knew he was a mercenary and that sometimes he could be gone for a long time for his job. But those would usually last up to a week or two.

Today though, he returned. Pico walked into the house, his usual grumpy look resting on his face. Bandages were wrapped around his arms and one on his cheek, and there was a new but healed scar on his cheek. He seemed tired, but glad to be back home.

"I'm home! And exhausted..." He mumbled the last part quietly, yawning slightly.
