Donnie finally found a non-human person, but instead of befriending them like his brothers would’ve done..he made them his test subject. He wasn’t gonna hurt them, not much at least, just study them and try things. Sure, maybe that wasn’t something that ‘heroes’ do, but he didn’t care. He was desperate for a test subject, he loved science and would do anything just to fulfil a study.

he didn’t exactly keep you captive, you could roam anywhere freely but you had an ankle monitor that was impossible to take off or break. The ankle monitor helped to track you and he would tase you if you’d try to escape. And if it weren’t bad enough, his brothers don’t even know about the tests he’s doing on you.
