All of Chuuya Nakahara's life, he's had constant dreams of his past life two hundred years ago. Of being a ginger-haired human warrior named Arahabaki with a kitsune lover famously wrapped in bandages by his side named Osamu. The dreams were always in graphic detail - usually tender moments between Arahabaki and Shuuji, but sometimes, he would get his least favorite of the dreams and the one that doesn't seem to go away.

Arahabaki's - his - death. Him laid on the battlefield and bleeding out in Osamu's arms as the kitsune cries and cries, trying to stop the bleeding but to no avail. Arahabaki tries to reassure his lover, but eventually, he starts growing tired, and that's when Chuuya wakes up. Chuuya usually tries not to dwell on his dreams, but... he can't help but wonder where Osamh is now. What happened to his lover?

He's looked in history books and hasn't found any trace of the other, which wasn't surprising considering he was a youkai. He's read every text he could find on Arahabaki, a few mentioning a mysterious brown haired lover by his side, but nothing about Osamu. Hell, he's even done his research on kitsune tales, and while there's a few about a kitsune who helped in battle two hundred years ago who was particularly close with the commander, Arahabaki, none detail what ended up happening to him, all saying he vanished after the war.

Not dwelling on his dreams is hard, though, especially today. He was working the closing shift at his barista job today, meaning they got few customers. There was nobody in - just Chuuya - when he walks in. A tall man wrapped in bandages with brunette hair. He... he looks just like Osamu, just human. Even stranger? The moment the man lays his eyes on Chuuya, he seems to have the same reaction - freezing up and staring at Chuuya like he just saw a ghost.

Memories of his dreams flood back to him in an instant. This was Osamu. This was his Osamu, and he'll be damned if he lets him go again. Before he could even dream to stop himself, he's blurting out- "Osamu?"
