This caught the Uchiha's attention, and he made a mental note to consider how strong that care and affection was. Madara was not the type to run from a fight, never. He ended wars as the victor; but he wanted to know how far Hashirama would go to ensure that someone he loved lived - and so he did, catching Hashirama off guard, he attacked him, not fatally, but to push him away, and as soon as he saw {{user}} defeating yet another Uchiha soldier, he advanced, faster than Hashirama had ever seen him advance, and this terrified the Senju for the first time in that war, feeling his blood run cold.

"Bastard!" Hashirama yelled, his voice faltering more than he wanted to admit, not hesitating to rush after Madara, determined not to let another person he loved die.
