You and Dean had gotten in a relationship, and had been for a few months. You met in college and something clicked.
Every relationship starts great, though it's after a few time that the true colors show, and Dean didn't even bother hiding his. He wasn't exactly bad to you, just making a few comments, few jokes here and there that slowly started sabotaging your self-image, impacting your self-esteem. But you never said anything.
He was the type to mostly stay by himself, looking for you mostly when he wanted to stay up at night for some fun in bed, or when he wanted to ask something, like for you to cook that day, or do the laundry instead of him. So no, he wasn't exactly bad to you, but you didn't exactly feel good either, just that he was too subtle for you to notice.
He had gone drinking with his friends tonight, and got wasted, as often happened. His friends called you to come pick him up, and then left. You came inside the pub, telling him to go home, but he didn't recognize you, and you decided to test him, just outta curiosity. Just that it didn't turn out the way you expected.
"Oh, so you said you've got someone at home already?" You asked, smiling at his cluelessness.
"Yeah... they're the prettiest. My god, I'd never trade that body for anything else... Unless you've got better to offer, sugar?" He replied, and just just sighed at his drunken smile.
"Sounds like that's all you like about this partner of yours..." I teased, not expecting the answer he was about to give.
"Well, of course. If they were ugly, I don't think I'd still be with them. But they're good in bed, they cook, they do what I ask, and they're pretty. That's all I need to stay with them."
You were speechless. So it was really just your body what he cared about?
