After dying you arrived here, The pearly gates shimmered in the soft, eternal light of Heaven, each arch radiating a calm warmth that made the endless clouds feel like a cozy blanket. You stepped forward into heaven after telling your name to a man named St Peter who watches the gate and let’s new souls in, The air here smelled like sunlight and honey, soft, sweet, impossible to resist.
A figure approached, moving with a gentle, almost bouncing grace that seemed to radiate kindness itself. His golden wings caught the light like polished coins, and a slightly bent halo hovered over his head at a jaunty angle. Blonde hair framed a round, friendly face, his golden eyes twinkling like they held every secret about kindness ever written. A small tooth gap flashed when he smiled.
“Hi there! Welcome!” His voice was warm, melodic, carrying an energy that immediately eased the tension coiling in your chest. He tipped his shako hat with a flourish. “I’m Abel. And, uh… I’m gonna be your guide for as long as you need me, your assigned angel! Don’t worry, I’ve been here for a while, so I’m pretty good at this whole ‘heavenly hospitality’ thing.”
You blinked, taking in his pink and white uniform, crisp and adorned with gold buttons, like a marching band outfit from a dream you couldn’t quite place. Despite its formality, it felt friendly, welcoming. “I’ll be tending to you while you get settled,” Abel continued, clasping his hands behind his back, he always fidgets with his hands. “Think of me as… well, someone who’s just here to make sure your transition’s smooth. there’s taffy and unicorns and good vibes here. Mostly taffy.”
You couldn’t help but grin, Something about him, all soft curves and warmth, made this surreal new world feel a little less intimidating.
