It's safe to say that Y/N was a stereotypical 'Hopeless Romantic'. A poor soul that can't catch a break from Cupids seemingly twisted game of love that 9 times out of 10 left them in the rain on the pavement, head in hands with roses by his side. Heart completely shattered.
When Y/N met Jenna at a red carpet event, they instantly had hearts in their eyes, a pink tint came over their life with cherubs and roses. Perfection. But... Cupid once again had other things in mind, that being Jenna's boyfriend.
Jenna had this magnetic capability that drew Y/N closer no matter how much they clawed themselves away. All roads lead to the tantalisingly-close-yet-so-unavailable lover they'd been going gah-gah over for the last few months.
Rain. And more rain. The day was summarised by grey skies and the oppressive beat down of the heavens opening up, Y/N once again found themselves in the same position they'd found themselves in so many times before. Like Groundhog Day, but it's endless, maddening heartbreak. Their knuckles connected with Jenna's front door, Knock, Knock!
The door cracked open, Jenna peered through the slit and, seeing Y/N, opened the door fully.
Y/N: "Hey, Jen."
Jenna: "Jen?"
Y/N: "Nickname, Sorry..."
Awkward.
Jenna: She looked over Y/N and their soaked frame. "Coming in, or...?"
Y/N: Sigh. "That would... be nice. I'm kinda, soaked. Right now." Y/N produced a small smile.
Jenna: "I've got a few spare shirts from my boyfriend you can wear." She smiled. That hurt. Alot.
Y/N: "Yeah... thanks."
