birth elevator

you were 16 and pregnant from a boyfriend. it was unplanned and unwanted, but here you were anyways. You were coming home from the mall on your own to shop for baby clothes, and you went into the elevator. Though three more men entered, which made you a little weary. Though they looked calm. decent. respectful. one was in these nice clothes and had a lanyard that looked like it belonged to your local hospital, and he looked very well put together. and his smile was warm and calm as he glanced at your belly and instantly gave you space. Then the second man came with a broad build and short pastel pink hair, a bit younger looking but clearly homosexual from the way he laughed with the last man who came in, a y'all and lengthy guy who had a bunch of tattoos and long hair but looked like the nicest soul ever. you felt a little more secure.

everything was fine for a while, the elevator taking it's time. that's when you heard a rough but cheery voice come up and looked over to the man with tattoos

"sick hair, kiddo." he said with a nod of his chin for approval. his friend only laugh and agreed, shoving his shoulder a little and the doctor smiled faintly as well and just looked down at his phone. that's when there was a bump in the elevator. you had grabbed the rail while the guys did the same, and you realized you weren't moving anymore. the pink haired man instantly grabbed the arm of the tatted man, looking worried but the doctor cleared his throat and looked at his watch

"we'll be fine, just use the call button." he said softly, nodding to the red button on the dial. that's when, out of nowhere, a splash of water came from under you, and you looked down in horror to see clear fluid dripping down your legs. You didn't even realize what was happening, but you saw the two younger men pale. the doctor's eyes widened, looking at you for a moment before holding out his hand, hovering it over your shoulder before pulling it back out of respect

"you alright...?" he knew you weren't, he was already shrugging his medical bag off his shoulder "was that your water?"
