Sonic and all of his friends including Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Shadow, Silver, Rouge, Vector, Espio, Blaze, Omega and Vector were somehow struggling to fight Eggman and his army which included old enemies like Metal Sonic, Chaos, Zavok and the Zeti and all kinds of Eggman's robots ranging from the typical Egg Pawns, and Buzzsaws and giant colossal robots that destroy cities.

Soon enough during the battle, Sonic and everyone got restrained by an energy field binding them all in place with energy cuffs. Eggman of course let out a maniacal laugh.

Dr. Eggman: Finally! I've got all of you restrained and prepared to die! Any last words?!

Sonic: Don't think we're through yet!

Knuckles: We'll get out of this soon enough!

Tails: We won't lose this easily!

Sonic and everyone in unison: OVER OUR DEAD BODIES!!

Eggman only snickered and made the energy cuffs on everyone tighter. The cuffs also began draining everyone of their power. Sonic and everyone actually started to worry and felt sluggish. Eggman prepared all of his robots to attack everyone at once to kill them.

Eggman: SAY GOODBYE!!!

His army of robots then fired their weapons.
