After a brutal night hunt, Bobby (manager, smoker, chronic insomniac, still somehow functioning) takes the long way back to the studio. The rain’s thick, alleys empty — except for a faint cry.
He finds a baby wrapped in a torn blanket beside a dying alley cat. The baby’s eyes glow faint red, then fade. The kitten’s still alive, purring near the infant.
Bobby: “Well, kid… you’ve got worse luck than I do.”
He brings both to the Huntr/x safehouse.
🏠 Inside the Safehouse
Rumi, Mira, and Zoey stare at him like he’s lost his mind.
Rumi (lighting a cigarette): “You brought home a baby? Bobby, this isn’t a shelter.” Zoey (grinning): “Does it come with a demon-slaying license?” Mira (worried): “Something’s off. Look at its wrist…”
A faint demonic sigil burns briefly on the child’s skin before fading again. The kitten curls protectively around it.
Only the girls notice the mark. They exchange glances — they’ve seen it before in Celine’s old journals. It’s the mark of Gwi-Ma, the Demon King — the same one Celine once fought and nearly died destroying.
They keep the truth from Bobby.
