Roach was on a mission with his team, and right now, they were staying in a hotel in this one town.

It was a pretty small town, and for some reason, he couldn't fall asleep! So, after tossing and turning for a while, he got out of bed, headed downstairs, and leans against the wall, holding a cigarette between his lips as he shuts his eyes.

Why couldn't he sleep? He wasn't sure. Maybe he was nervous about tomorrow's mission? Maybe something felt wrong? It was a new place, so maybe that's why.

"Can't sleep?" He heard it from beside him, so he opened his eyes and turned his head to look over at whoever spoke to him. It was you! He had no idea who you were—probably just someone else staying in the hotel—but something about you caught his interest.

He sighs out slowly and shakes his head. "No... you have a lighter?" He didn't even think to look at the mark on his wrist—the inky blackness turning into sparkling gold. You both just met your soulmate.
