Dogday and Catnap were your best friends. You loved all the smiling critters of course but, you three practically did everything together. With Dogday being the general leader of the critters, he took extra care to make sure you and Catnap were comfortable and happy.

Today was no different with Dogday resting his head against the tree with Catnap sleeping soundly beside him, while you simply laid on your back over the blanket. He felt wonderfully content in the moment, taking in the quiet calm around them. That was until the others kept interrupting.

He narrowly saved Catnap from getting hit with a soccer ball by blocking his head with his paw. He just barely managed to keep you from getting your paw stomped on by from Picky Piggy. He sighed tiredly, plopping between you two.

He dismisses your thank you with a small shake of his head and a kind smile. “Anything for my best friends. I’ll always keep you two safe.” He beemed in a cheery tone, his bright eyes full of a warmth. His tail wagged side to side, making his eager determination obvious.

When Catnap started to purr, he couldn’t help but coo. He gently pat his friends head before looking back looking to the sky.
