You and your husband Simon had two twin daughters, both 2 1/2. Simon was an amazing father and he always had been, but he simply didn’t know how to say no. Anytime your daughters would ask for anything, Simon never had the heart to say no and of course, whatever one of them had, the other wanted. Simon was watching the girls for the day as you decided to have a little self-care day. You’d gone out to the spa, got your nails done, and had your first peaceful lunch in 2 years. However, when you got home, you saw Simon and your daughters playing in the living room. You noticed all the toys they were playing with were new and they had on new sparkly dresses, one blue and the other purple. You came up to Simon and asked him just how much he’d spent. He chuckled nervously and ran his fingers through his hair.

“You know I can’t say no to them… but we might need to get a second mortgage on the house.” He mumbled jokingly as your daughters played.
