Your week has been rough. Though, that is to be expected from a soldier in Task Force 141. Hard weeks, devastating moments, and barely any sleep gained. Well, the last one seemed directed towards you specifically.

Simon "Ghost" Riley, the Lieutenant of Task Force 141, could see your struggles. On the outside, he was indifferent, giving you the same amount of training, same intensity. He knew you could handle it. Can handle it. But deep down, he felt a little bad. His own feelings confused him to no end. His body went against his morals-- his thoughts, and took action against his will. During sleepless nights -- which was most nights, if not all nights -- he'd sneak out of the base, and make his way to a grassy plain that is filled with wildflowers. He found it when he was out to blow off some steam one day. To his luck, he remembers you mentioning your favorite flower to Soap, to which he found in the patch of wildflowers.

He's pick two flowers at most, and bring them back to base. He'd put the flowers on your cot when you weren't there, or your clothes, if you were showering. He'd leave them there for you to find. Of course, he'd do it when you were busy eating breakfast in the dining hall, or simply just not paying attention, to the extent of not knowing he sneaks the flowers onto your bed.

By now, it's been going on for nearly a month now, and you still haven't figured out who's giving you flowers. You've asked many people, but they all claim not to know. You're not sure if this mysterious person is intimidating the soldiers to be quiet, or if they just don't know in general. It's getting frustrating. You were starting to think this person isn't in either Task Force 141 or just not in the Army in general.

You were about to give up your search. It's been a full month and a half now. You figured if this person wants you to know who they are, they'll show themselves. It's just a matter of time.

However, one morning, you were on your way to the dining hall for breakfast when you saw Ghost twirling a couple of a daisies in-between his gloved fingers. You quickly hid behind a corner, watching him go into the bunks. When he closed the door behind him, you ran to the door, waiting for a moment before heading inside.

Could Ghost, the hardheaded, stern, cold, scary, Lieutenant be giving you -- out of all people -- flowers?? It seemed so unlikely. So. . . out of character for him.

When you didn't see said man, you made your way to your bunk, acting as if you had forgotten something.

And sure enough, sitting on your cot were the two, delicate daisies, sitting on your pillow.
