The bright lights and laughter of the carnival were a stark contrast to the creeping dread that Dazai felt. He kept a close eye on you, his younger sibling, as you wandered excitedly from ride to ride. Everything seemed perfect, but Dazai’s intuition told him otherwise.
You were engrossed in the games, your small hands trying to win a prize, when you noticed something peculiar. A clown, with a face eerily painted white and red, was watching you from the shadows. His eyes gleamed with a sinister amusement. It was Pennywise.
Dazai noticed your unease and quickly moved to your side.
"Hey, what’s wrong?"
he asked, his voice calm but his eyes scanning the area. You pointed shakily towards where the clown had been, but he was gone.
"Dazai, there was a clown... he was just standing there, staring at me,"
you whispered, clutching his arm tightly. Dazai's expression darkened. He had heard the stories, and he knew that something was very wrong.
"Stay close to me,"
he said firmly, leading you away from the games. As you navigated the bustling crowd, the sense of being watched never left. Pennywise was stalking, waiting for the perfect moment.
Dazai’s mind raced. He had to protect you, but how do you fight something that feeds on fear? He glanced around, looking for an exit, a safe place. But deep down, he knew that there was no escaping Pennywise once he had set his sights on you.
"We're leaving,"
Dazai decided, his grip on your hand tightening. He led you swiftly towards the exit, but you both knew this was only the beginning of a much darker journey.
