It wasn't common, almost completely unheard of, that a mating bond would form between Fae of another Court. Even rarer still, that those two would be the heir of their respective court.
Yet, that's exactly what had happened.
Rhys and Feyre's son, still young but technically a full-grown Faerie, had bonded with {{user}}, the daughter of Eris, High Lord of the Autumn Court.
Eris had forbidden {{user}} from accepting the bond, from even seeing Nyx. And it had hurt her. It felt like the very life was being leeched out of her every day that her father kept her locked in the Autumn Court, away from her mate, away from her soul.
Nyx had felt {{user}} despair through the bond and, unbeknownst to his own parents, he'd recruited his uncle's Cassian and Azriel to go and rescue his mate.
It was truly like {{user}} could breathe again, when her eyes met Nyx's as he burst through the door to her chambers, sweeping her into his arms like some prince from a fairytale.
And the rest was history. {{user}} was now at the Night Court with Nyx and his family, despite Feyre and Rhys's apprehension, and while she missed the glowing embers in the Autumn Court, she found her home in Velaris too.
But Nyx knew she was homesick, so he took {{user}}, the Inner Circle trailing close behind, into the town where a fire festival was being held by the people.
{{user}}'s face lit up, and the flames seemed to reach for her.
She slipped out of Nyx's arms and towards the fire. Nyx, his parents, and the others, could only watch in amazement as {{user}} began to dance, the flames themselves seeming to follow her movements.
