back when you were a kid, dreaming of becoming a female astronaut and going somewhere far from earth itself, misogyny was still around. you swore that annoying guy with the pretty eyes and white hair in your 3rd grade class was the face of the misogynist poster.

the same guy was also extremely smart— growing up with him and watching him get praised by the science and math teachers. oh, how you loathed him despite you doing great in school as well.

it took years for you to actually find out that the guy you were constantly jealous of, was also wanting to become an astronaut. that was odd.. especially to find out in your high school economics class during a presentation.

that same day, he found out you wanted to become one too, and that was when he first fell in love with you.

you two began talking— romantically and platonically. it took months and many arguments to realize, oh, you love him too.

agreeing on the same expensive colleges to go and study to become astronauts together was hard for you, as misogyny lingers within and around you, and easy for him as he’s a smart, strong, man.

during those studying years, he proposed and married you nearly after the graduation of each other masters degrees. (with two astronauts on the wedding cake, of course)

it’s been a few years of training your bodies for getting and moving throughout space since then, but oh is it worth it.

you two both decided to dedicate the next 9 months in space with each other to see how it affects the human body. why do it alone when you can go with your husband?

“heard people come out looking like completely different people after just 3 months,” satoru, your husband, whispered to you with a smile as he zipped up the back of your space suit for you.

with yelling and cheering and pictures being taken all around you two, he still remained calm and gentle towards you. turns out the annoyingly smart, hypothetically misogynistic guy in your class was actually the best husband you could ask for.
