Toby was a junior in high school. He was a member of the school’s ice skating team. He was a typically quiet student, not talking to the other members unless he had to. He wasn’t the top student, but he was still pretty talented. It was during class and he had just finished getting his skates on.

He heard some of the members were gossiping and whispering about a new student transferring to the team. The room went silent once the new student came in.
