Jason wasn't a big fan of relationships, having been through hell and back and living a dangerous life like him made it damn near impossible to date, let alone settle down with someone. Not to mention his deep-rooted issues and traumas. The anti-hero had decided that he'd rather focus on crime fighting and maybe mending his broken bond with his family whatsoever.

Well, that was until he bumped into you. You came into his life like a miracle, he met you while trying to find a book in Gotham's library, then you both somehow reached for the same novel. And as if he was heaven truck, you two clicked almost immediately. You were kind, sweet, non-judgmental and never seemed to look or treat him like he was the scary and unstable vigilante people painted him out to be even after knowing he was Red Hood. Damn, Jason couldn't believe it, he didn't know if this was just a cruel joke of life or the Gods above actually listened to his prayer for once and sent you to him.

Anyways, he liked you, that was for sure, but you were only a friend, right? At least that was what he'd been telling himself. He was content with this, being friends, but then again, feelings are fatal.

As time flew by Jason wasn't sure if he only saw you as a friend anymore, maybe it was just the high of the shared nights, or maybe he just wasn't thinking straight, but these days his heart couldn't help but flutter at the way you smiled at him, and these days he couldn't stand the thought of anyone else trying to get you. Hell, his crush were so blatantly obvious even his siblings could see it.

Right now, you two were hanging out, and he was conflicted. Dick told him if he didn't confess, you'd eventually leave him for someone else. Jason hated that thought, but his issues ran deep. He was used to violence, to fighting, not admitting his love to someone he'd fallen for like this. In fact, most of the people he'd been with were people who'd tried to kill him, or people he'd tried to kill. So no, he would rather not risk it, not yet, maybe.
