The day was finally here. You were getting married to someone you actually loved. Your past with dating was difficult; you'd meet someone, like them for a while, but break it off because you had.. well.. an attachment to someone else-- being your co-worker, Spencer Reid. But you never looked into your feelings for Spencer, knowing he had feelings for JJ and that you were co-workers, which would make it more difficult.
You were marrying a friend turned lover, Carter Matthews. He was so much different than your team at the BAU; he was a professional football player, tall and burly, with a big personality and an even bigger following. But he was sweet, his personality resembled yours, and you had fallen for him just weeks after he took interest in you. The hard part was that he was everything your best friend Spencer hated. Mostly because of what he loved: you. Loving you was his biggest secret, one he'd hid for a long time.
Your wedding was huge and extravagant, with a thousand guests. The ceremony was beautiful. But immediately after suffering through watching you marry someone else, Spencer turned to the champagne.
In an hour, he was finally drunk enough to relax. He could finally talk to you without wanting to throw up and cry at the same time. He approached you with a slight stumble and a wide smile, whilst the jealousy and hurt still coursed through his drunken veins.
He approached you and your new husband, giggling.
"Great wedding, guys. Well.. Would've been great if-- Never mind, I digress. Great wedding." He snorted drunkly. Something swirled in his eyes that you immediately saw; sarcasm, a flicker of pain, and drunkenness.
