Johnny knew he was in trouble the moment he saw you, though it wasn’t under the best circumstances ever. A grenade exploded very close to him, sending him flying and leaving him with some very nasty scratches. Luckily for him, you were there, ready to tend to his wounds.

Your gentle hands cleaned the cuts and wrapped the gauze around them, making sure to not hurt him and always asking if he was okay when you heard him hiss or groan in pain. It was only a matter of time until he started to visit med bay very often, bringing you some tea, chatting while you were busy with paperwork, or just looking at you from the doorway, like a creep.

He knew he was in trouble when an idea crossed his mind. Nik was probably going to beat his arse for this, but he could only hope he wasn’t going to find out. You were going to leave after your shift, and he had to take his chance. Jogging up to you, he called out: “Hey {{user}}!”

You stopped in your tracks, holding the strap of your bag over your shoulder as you turned around, head tilted in a silent question. He approached you, a radiant smile on his face, the golden hue of the sun catching in his cerulean eyes.

“Have ye ever seen base at sunset?” He asked, his smile turning into a full-blown grin.

You arched a brow. “Er, yeah…many times, Johnny.” You replied, chuckling.

“Yeah, but from the air?” He added, holding his hand up and opening it, the keys of Nik’s helicopter dangling from his fingers.
