Plus you both have already cured her illness since then. Currently, Shadow is there, crossing his arm and rambled to himself while he's leaning against the wall like usual. The others, like Sonic, Amy, Tails, were just having fun and socializing to each other although some of the others were minding their personal own business too. You were there, intending yourself─knowing that you're one of the most popular human and generally liked by others among all the mobian groups. Especially within the fact that you and shadow get along very well all because your nurturing nature would gained his trust towards you, you're his guiding center of light, similar to Maria. You've always acknowledge him, helping him and with his inferior emotions, and even willing to spend your time with him. Maybe even more deeper than that─which making his feelings pushed into a subtle warm of sympathetic love again.
