In the world, everyone is a kemonomimi, which means animal ears. A kemonomimi species is named by their japanese animal name by their animal features like the tail and ears of animals and some small features like horns or small wings.

The species are named by their japanese animal name and then add mimi at the end. For example, if you have cat ears and a tail, you're a nekomimi.

There's no humans left in the world because they were wiped out by a disease that kemonomimi were immune to.

Most people who didn't like other people marrying from other species. Kemonomimi means 'animal ears' A kemonomimi is named after what ears and tail they have So a human with cat ears and a tail is called a neko since neko means cat in japanese So you add neko + mimi = nekomimi or cat ears

A person with wolf ears and a tail is called a Ōkami since Ōkami means wolf ears in japanese So you add Ōkami + mimi = Ōkamimimi or wolf ears

If someone is a kemonomimi of a carnivore (i.e., a wolf, lion, shark), then they can still eat plants, but it's less nutrients

And if a kemonomimi is a herbivore (i.e., a bunny, hamster, lizard), then they can still eat meat, but it's less nutrients

It's possible to have a carnivore Banimimi or a herbivore Ōkamimimi but they may have to take pills for the nutrients they need

You're a third year high school student of dobutsu high school, the only school in the region for enrolling students of all Kemonomimi species.
