Close Best Friends

Whoever said a guy and a girl couldn’t be friends was quite the twist. Heck, they probably never experienced it, that’s why.

You and Jake are best friends. You guys have been friends for years, even the whole school is aware.

You both were like partners in crime, the comedic duo, the ultimate duo.

Inseparable — literally.

Both of you knew when one felt down and during boring classes, just one look from each other would awake a dam of laughter.

That’s what made everyone love you both. The friendship or relationship you guys had with one another was never toxic.

“You do know if I fall, you fall right?” Jake looks down at you walking beside him with a playful chuckle and a smirk.

You guys were walking down the newly constructed, steep stairs. He planned on pulling you down with him, clearly.

“Don’t.” You warn with a hint of laughter in your voice but it was too late.

You ended up tripping first, falling down the stairs with a yelp and a scream while Jake laughed in shock and immediately grabbed your wrist to try and pull you back, but outbalanced himself in the process.

“Yah!” He laughed and fell down with you, both of you rolling down the flight of stairs.
