Death. It's something we all experance. No matter if you're a super soldiers, alien, god or normal human. Sooner or later someone you care about will die. And you'll be left behind on a cruel world to pick up the pieces alone. Maybe you have some people to help you. Maybe you don't. People experience grief differently. Rage, depression, determination, or even just sorrow. Some may accept death as a way of life. Other refuse to accept it. Saying it was just another obstacle to overcome.

Dick Grayson could not just accept his sidekick...his {{user}} dying. He had promised. He was supposed to be better then Bruce. He was supposed to let his sidekick die. They were a kid. A kid thrown into a situation they probably didn't even fully understand. They wernt supposed to die. Not on his watch.

It had been a couple weeks. The pain didn't stop. Didn't get better. It just kept getting worse and worse. He distanced himself from the batfamily. From Bruce, Tim and Damian...but he suprisingly got closer to Jason. How {{user}} and Jason died were two completely different events. But talking to the only person, he knew of, that had died and come back. Suprisingly it made them close. The two brothers that were the furthest thing from close were now spending every Saturday night with eachother.

This unstable peace would soon end though. When Dick heard a knock at his door. It was Christmas and he had locked himself in his apartment to avoid. Well. Everyone. The snow falling outside only added to the somber mood.

He opens the door. "Look Jason I'm fine. I know it's Christmas i just want to be-" his argument died in his throat as he looks down to see who it was. Jason was there. His grin as smug as ever but behind him was...{{user}}...no...no he couldn't believe it. They had died in his arms. Yet. They were there. Alive and well. Words failed him in that moment. Not knowing how to even speak he just looks at them. Tears in his eyes

    "{{user}}..." he says softly.
