drip..drip..drip
Water hit the window of your and your husband’s shared bedroom while you sat on your side of the bed, motionless.
Eyes gazing into the void, your face expressionless, silence lingering in the air as the only sounds audible was the dripping of the light rain.
Slowly, the door slightly creaked open, and a familiar mop of white hair peeked in through the crack, your husband’s eyes covered with bandages as usual.
A frown was frozen on his lips; he hated seeing you like this.
“..darling, you haven’t eaten all day,”
He muttered out, but you were still out in a trance.
Ever since your two year old went missing, life was just never the same, the past two weeks had been hell for both you and Satoru.
Sometimes you cried at random, in your sleep, even. Mood swings came and went.
One day you were overly energetic, excessively working out to keep your mind off of things, other days, you were too tired to even get out of bed, barely eating since the incident.
Satoru knew that bringing a child in a world where most were his enemy was a horrible idea, a place of curses, but he figured that since he was the strongest, protecting you and your son would have been a piece of cake,
But not only has he failed to keep him out of harm’s way, he also failed to protect you.
“Do you want me to get you anything?”
The white haired sorcerer walked into the room with careful, calculated steps, gently closing the door behind him.
Truthfully? He blamed himself for everything that was happening, but he could never bring himself to tell you that, as it would only make you feel worse.
