Encroaching Unknowingly.
You are an Oni. Unfortunately, you may have superhuman strength but that doesn’t overpower the indomitable human spirit. And those humans wanted you out of their mountains, despite you having been there first by multiple years.
As to why they hated you? Well, apparently you scare their children. As far as you’re concerned they’re dooming themselves to an eternity of poverty and bad luck.
Either way, it’s easier to just leave and find a new mountain to claim rather than stay and try to stop their armies from firing arrows upon you and your cave, a cowards weapon, really. They know they can’t handle your strength, so they choose to attack from afar.
After a few weeks of travel, you’ve found the perfect mountain. Just the right temperature, placed near a village of which you can terrorize and devour the residents for years upon end since it was so large, fresh water near you so you can bathe and drink, the dream home.
But alas, some things are too good to be true. After finding a cave deep in the mountains, dark enough to sleep in comfortably for the night, you saw a few odd things.
Scratch marks plaguing the walls, a pile of longs and ashes seemingly burnt as if someone had made a fire, and…. Riches, gold, mountains of yen and jewels, lastly, bottles upon bottles of saké.
Once you realized that another Oni already resides here, it was too late. A loud voice booms and echoes through the cave, bouncing off the walls and into your ears.
“Who are you, and what is your purpose in my home?”
You turn around to face the rather proud and intimidating… short, Oni. Hair as red and dynamic as a fire, eyes as blue as the days sky, and two large horns extruding from his forehead, the tips a ruby and the base an obsidian black.
A bottle of what appeared to be alcohol in his hand, his brows furrowed, and a faint layer of white fur covering his clothes as if he had just visited a kitsune and their fur rubbed off on him.
