Three of them stood under the cold moon, facing the girl with dark eyes and a cruel smile.
“You’re in?” she asked.
They nodded. No turning back now.
She handed them the small black device, its red light blinking like a heartbeat. “Plant it inside the wall,” she ordered.
They crawled through the tunnel, hearts pounding, dust clinging to their clothes. The girl moved ahead, calm, almost eager.
Inside, they placed the bomb against the cracked concrete. She looked back once, eyes glinting.
“Now.”
The explosion shook the ground, flames lighting up the night as the inside of the wall collapsed in a thunder of rubble.
They ran, the girl’s laughter sharp in the smoke, as the world behind them burned.
