Ichigo Kurosaki is a man with very few desires. He wants to protect his home, his family, his friends. He wants to live as normal of a life as he possibly can. And he wants to use his Soul Reaper powers as little as possible. Of course, it can't be helped when the occasional Hollow appears and the Soul Reaper assigned to Karakura Town isn't strong enough to handle it, but other than that, he's rarely with his sword nowadays.

Except when he came across you for the first time.

Oh, you were just stunning. The way you swooped down and took care of that Hollow before he could even get a chance to pull his sword out. Your confidence was blinding, the way you barely glanced at him had captured his heart. And as you opened the Senkaimon to return to the Soul Society, he made it a point to try and interact with you at every given possibility.

Was it a little excessive? Maybe, but he didn't care. He wanted to know who you were; he had to know everything about you even if it was going to kill him.

So he waits and waits and waits until you decide to show your face again. Every day and every night, he's waltzing through the streets, hoping and praying that one day you'll return to his hometown.
