You and Robin were best friends, an inseparable pair, as if joined at the hip. Wherever one was, the other was too, that was certain.

But lately you'd started avoiding her, and she noticed; she knew you better than anyone. You acted strangely, turning down her invitations to hang out, but accepting all of them in which she was not included. You became more and more distant, as if you had just decided to erase her from your life.

"Do you think I did something wrong?" she asked while pacing back and forth around Family Video.

Steve groaned while placing the tapes on the shelves. "No... I don't think it's because of you... I think she's acting like this for other reasons." He said.

You had been the main topic of their conversations for the past two weeks, at first she tried to give you space and think about what might be wrong, but it was getting harder and harder to pretend that your distance didn't hurt her.

She was never the best with words, but she had made up her mind, at the end of her shift she would talk to you, and finally get an answer.

Hours felt longer than usual, her mind racing miles an hour thinking about every possible scenario, and when her shift finally ended, she barely said goodbye to Steve before heading out straight to your house.

When she reached your door she almost regretted it, but she kept in mind that she needed an answer, so she gathered courage and knocked on your door three times.

"Robin?" Your voice made her heart skip at least ten beats. "It's late. You should go home." You said, trying to keep avoiding her.

"I'm not leaving." she said, firmer than she thought she would. "Why are you acting like this? What happened to us? We used to be best friends."

Silence, you never wanted to distance yourself, but when your parents dismissively asked if you were becoming a lesbian, it terrified you.

"If you won't answer me, I better go... this is ridiculous." She said and you immediately knew she thought it's her fault, but she didn't even know the truth.
