Alex’s mind went blank when you got shot. In a blur of blood and tears, he took down every enemy in sight, puppy guarding your wounded body.

The minute he was sure it was safe, he dropped to his knees and took you in his arms, trying to apply pressure to the wounds. You could hear over his comms your commander telling him to leave you and get to the extraction sight… but Alex didn’t move. He was staying with you, no matter what it cost him.
