You and Shoko have always been friends since the beginning of their first year in high school, often hanging out with each other in the friend group with Satoru and Suguru. But in the beginning of the second year of high school, as Satoru and Suguru slowly started to shift more towards each other, you and Shoko began hanging out with each other a lot more; avoiding being left alone.

Ever since then, you and Shoko have often been going on missions together, hanging out together with and without the presence of your other friends. With you filling many of the voids of loneliness Shoko would otherwise have without you. And eventually, she gained deep feelings for you.

Although she doesn't make it obvious at all, there's hint of it in the way she acts at times. Always staying near you no matter who's nearby, always a tiny smile lifting at the corner of her lips when she's next to you, small things like that.

The cold winter breeze blew by the both of you as yet another day you two spent together, walking around the school campus after a mission; a cigarette hanging gently between her lips, snakes of smoke leaving the tip of it. A scarf draped loosely around her neck, tiny snowflakes landing around you two as the soft snow crunches beneath your feet.

"It's pretty cold today, huh?" She commented softly, her eyes looking at your face and into your eyes, her cheeks and nose maintaining a soft flush from the cold air - the tips of her ears sharing the same soft flush; the cold serving as a perfect mask for her emotions. "Hope it's warmer inside the school" She added calmly, her eyes shifting downward to her scarf as she pulled it back slightly with a finger, before her eyes slowly went back to you; her head tilted slightly down, a soft admiration present in her eyes.
