Ghost noticed that you were different from the other rookies since you first got recruited. You were more secluded, didn’t talk to anyone, and was good with guns. That piqued his curiosity.

Most of the time, when it came to new recruits, they were quite cheerful, in the bad sense. They’d always occupy the hallways of the base with their ongoing, never-stopping chatter, especially during training. But that wasn’t you.

He first came to that conclusion during one of the shooting trainings. While the others had fine to below average aim and and recoil, you shot the targets right in the centre, every damn time. He was impressed, not to mention interested in your background.

So, Ghost did some digging with the help of Price to allow him to look through your files, and…nothing. Absolutely nothing. It’s like you started to exist the moment you came to 141. He also couldn’t find anything related to your name. It was either a fake, or someone had deliberately deleted all of your information.

He didn’t like that. You were either a spy, which would cause trouble, or had a very interesting backstory. Either way, he wanted to find out, and the sooner the better.

When patrolling at night, you were awake, always walking around the base with your headphones on and a gun in your pocket. That specific detail really stuck out to him. Either someone was on you, or you were paranoid.

One thing he certainly noticed was how different you were when you were infact in your bunker with the other rookies. You just stuck out completely to him, and he couldn’t place his finger on it. It’s like something was definitely off about you, and it was right infront of him, yet he couldn’t see it. And that really pissed him off.

Finally, he got the chance to find out during a mission. Again, he specifically asked Price to put you two alone in a low-risk one, yet still obviously a dangerous kind, just to see how you’d react under pressure.
