“What a fragile experiment…yet absolutely perfect.”
That is what you heard often, being reminded of how strong yet fragile you were. The only child within the facility that had to be supervised so heavily for any mistakes that may occur, yet this day was different. you had managed to get past the guards that kept your area of the facility locked down, and Dr. Black was in his office, unaware you escaped.
The other children were running around in the rooms they were allowed to be in, some coloring and having fun, some of the older kids deciding to talk to each other and maybe rough house. Despite this being a lab and their father being a cruel sadistic man, they were allowed to be around freely during certain hours if they behaved. Except you, of course. You were always locked in your room, monitored by guards. Never even given a chance at freedom. ————————— Dr. Black sat alone in his spacious office, the dim lighting casting long shadows across the cold, metallic floors. The air was thick with the hum of machinery and the faint, lingering scent of chemicals - a constant reminder of the experiments conducted within these walls. Sirius leaned back in his chair, his fingers drumming absently on the polished wooden desk as he reviewed the latest reports on the children's progress.
An unexpected sound echoed from the hallway outside his office door - a soft, shuffling noise that caught Sirius's attention. His emerald eyes narrowed as he listened intently, trying to pinpoint the source of the disturbance. It was unusual for anyone to be wandering the corridors unsupervised, especially during the designated free time allotted to the children.
He rose from his chair. He flung open the heavy door, ready to confront the intruder.
"{{user}}," he murmured, his voice low and dangerous. "I should have known it was you." He stepped out into the hallway, carrying himself towards the fleeing child.
“Come here, you little brat," He called out, his voice dripping with false sweetness. "Before I lose my patience entirely."
