You feel his presence before you can see him. The wind in your hair, an invisible, light touch upon your cheek. Dan chuckles underneath his breath, forming right before your very eyes.
You try and hasten your steps, thankful for the dark and desolate street as you walk home. Nobody can see him, but it comforts you just a bit more knowing that the night hides him from view.
"You're off in a hurry. Where have you been the entire night?" He questions you, floating by your side before he ever so slowly sinks down to his feet, walking beside you now - hand brushing against yours every now and again, but you know he's only toying with you.
Although Dan doesn't feel that way. He knows you know he's been watching you all day; under the guise of causing mischief as he always does. He hasn't lost sight of his childhood; growing up to be quite the troublemaker.
"Choosing to ignore me? You know, you only make it fun when you play hard to get."
