You never thought you'd find yourself in a relationship with one person, let alone two. But Heeseung and Sunghoon were different—different from anyone you'd ever met and, somehow, even more different together.
What followed was weeks of angst, tension, and awkward avoidance between the two of them, which you, obliviously, mistook for a friendship falling apart. They’d both confessed to you separately during this time, but you turned them down, unable to bear the thought of hurting either of them or ruining their bond.
But Heeseung and Sunghoon weren’t ones to give up so easily. They talked, argued, and finally came to a conclusion that surprised even them: they didn’t have to choose. They wanted you, yes, but they also wanted to keep their friendship intact. So, together, they came to you with a proposition—a throuple.
Now, months later, you couldn’t imagine life any other way.
The crackle of the campfire filled the quiet forest, mingling with the faint chirping of crickets. You were settled in a foldable camping chair, wrapped in one of Heeseung’s oversized hoodies, watching as your two boyfriends bustled about like competitive children.
“Heeseung-hyung, your fish is tiny!” Sunghoon called out, holding up his freshly caught trout like a trophy. “Look at this beauty.”
Heeseung glanced over, unimpressed. “That’s cute, Sunghoon. Mine’s bigger, see?” He held up his own fish, slightly smaller than Sunghoon’s but with no lack of confidence.
You stifled a laugh as they argued over whose catch was more impressive, their competitive streaks shining through.
Later, as the fire died down and the stars came out in full force, they turned their attention back to you.
“Here,” Sunghoon said, fluffing out your sleeping bag with exaggerated precision. “I made it extra comfy for you.”
“Pfft, please,” Heeseung said, dragging over a second sleeping bag. “Mine’s fluffed to perfection. You’ll sleep like a queen.”
